The many advantages of outsourcing content

How quickly do I receive my content?
We aim to deliver a draft article to you within 48 hours of receiving your request.
Who writes the content articles?
We have a large network of professional authors who are categorised by topics that they specialise in.
How much does an article cost?
The total amount of words within an article are divided up into 100 word blocks. We charge £6.99 plus vat per 100 words.
What happens if I don't think the content is quite right?
Our authors produce quality content that is 99% of the time exactly what our customers are looking for. However, if you don't feel that the content is quite right you can reject the article and we'll make amendments and re-issue it.
I love writing, how can I become an author?
We are always looking for great authors. If you are interested please complete our author registration form.
How much do I get paid?
Writers are paid £4.90 per 100 words. This rate is paid on a pro-rata basis so for example if you write 250 words, you would earn £12.25.
When I take a job, does that mean that I am now the "owner" of that job and the sole writer working on it? Or can multiple writers take the same job and the client chooses the best?
Once you click the 'Take Job' button, you become the sole writer for it. You then have 48hours to complete the article otherwise it gets put back in the 'Available Jobs' stream for other Authors to potentially take.
I keep getting emails saying a job has become available, but when I login its not there?
If another Author signs in and takes the job before yourself then it does not appear in your 'Available Jobs' pool. We are currently working on a better way to inform an Author that a job has been taken.
How do you ensure that a client does not claim they are not satisfied, doesn't pay, and then publishes the work anyway?
At the moment we are notified about all jobs and rejected articles and will be investigating to ensure that the content is not used subsequently on the web without permission. Should we find that someone is abusing the system then we will make every effort to ensure that either the content is paid for and the author reimbursed, or that the content is removed.
We are not expecting that this will be a widespread problem, but there are plans to further limit access to the article by a customer until they have accepted and paid for it, should it prove necessary.
What time scale do you give the client for payment?
Clients are required to pay for articles at the point where they accept them. Should a client leave an article in a pending state (i.e. not accepted) for more than 48 hours, we will contact them to resolve the situation.
Do you have any rules about continuing a working relationship outside of the site should the client require a long term relationship?
We have no rules in place (nor intend to put any) that provent Authors working with Clients outside of Content Focus. We do however advise that both parties stick to the system we have in place, this provides protection and security for both sides.
If continuing work is required and it has to be done within the site, is the client given any option to approach a preferred writer who has done previous work on your site for them?
This is something that we are planning on introducing in the next phase of development. In the meantime, should a customer ask us to work with a specific author, then we can set this up manually.
